If Jackson wins it will be because the main stream sports media resents Clemson's strong character emphasis, and prefers gawdy early season stats run up against lesser teams. Watson outperformed Jackson head to head, in big games, under pressure and down the stretch when it counted most.

Plus Watson is a high quality human being, a humble person, a scholar athlete, a leader, a team player and a servant to his University and community. He will graduate - with academic honors - in three years -which is far more impressive than how many touchdowns he racked up this season. Did he ever complain about his teammates dropping passes or not making plays? No. He took the "blame" for others' mistakes, put his team on his back, and carried them across the goal line. He has them poised to compete for another championship. Without him they win maybe 8 games, maybe, and finish third in their division - just like Louisville! If that isn't Heisman worthy, the trophy isn't worth much anyomore.

I can still remember Louisville playing Jackson deep into 4th qtr with 30+ point leads against weak competition just to rack up yards and completions for Jackson. I could not find the stats for both based on minutes played but Watson is my winner all day long.
