I'm going to keep bumping this so everyone can share in the excitement that Nuk will finally claim Clemson as his stepping stone to fame and fortune. I feel so honored. It's definitely a sad day for DW Daniel High School, but not for the soon to be State of South Carolina University College for All Boys and Girls and Everyone.

Oh, and you're right about me never being an NFL Hall of Famer considering I didn't even play football competitively, but you don't have to be an athlete to be a millionaire if you weren't aware. Being a millionaire and posting on a message board aren't somehow mutually exclusive. Millionaires tend to have some of the stronger opinions/perspectives in my personal experience.

I like Nuk...I don't think he's ever been honest about why he doesn't mention Clemson in introductions. I don't think his original rationale had anything to do with Calhoun Honors College.

So do I - that's the irony. I've run into him on a handful of occasions through different mutual friends. Nice guy, hard upbringing and story. I just think as a population we place a lot of influence in the hands of the uninformed and under-qualified, which is the source of any contention I hold toward allowing a player to influence the naming of something he wasn't even directly associated with. But, football and social media are king. Follow the money.
