NOT go to Alabama!

Curly was coach under Danny and back in 1978 or ‘79 my 8 yr old Son & I were at a Spring game and he knew me a tad and said:

Bill, Meet Homer Jordan of Georgia & he’s coming to Clemson soon to be our 1st Natty winning QB..

and I looked at this smallish, kid-looking young man with a big broad smile and shook his hand but walked away telling my Son no way was that young’un taking Clemson, anywhere!

I remember Homer Jordan being recruited when he was in high school. When the gamecock recruiter went to his home, Homer came to the door wearing a Clemson shirt.
