Every offseason everyone cries about Dabo going to Bama and as soon as the season stops everyone forgets that theory because recruiting also picks up. Do you ever stop to think maybe this is called the dead period for a reason because NOTHING is going on football related and he has time to enjoy himself like a normal person and he does that and somehow everyone gets that he’s going to Bama.. Nobody here believes Finebum but when he mentions Dabo could go to Bama everyone believes him then... Even Dabo’s son said he couldn’t see him going to Bama so just let it be and enjoy the ride.

Finebaum is nothing more than a Bama loving troll. He’s just trying to get everyone in a tizzy. We need to be happy and enjoy the ride in baseball before we go and win another national championship this year in football. Nothing is forever. Savor where we are!

to take the Alabama job. Then, several weeks later, Bowden shut him down in front of a Birmingham TD Club audience.

seen. I remember in Tommy Bowden's first year EVERY caller to his call in show used to ask him if he would stay at Clemson. It was embarrassing. Clemson is bigger and more special than any coach. Act like it.

Bama is the engine that drives Finebum's sorry business. He does anything he can to talk about it in any way possible.

he is going to Alabama but it is Auburn he is going to coach. he is still mad for being fired from alabama and wants to show them who's boss. he loves Clemson but the lake scares him so he is going to the closest thing he can find like Clemson.

I’m just glad the coots don’t like the CEO type bc I heard rumors he might replace Muschamp but most fans there don’t want to win so we dodged a bullet

What everyone fails to take into consideration is this... Dabo has built something truly special at Clemson. We went from a mediocre program that people would occasionally talk about to being a National Powerhouse, with our name in everyone's mouth, in less than a decade. He loves Clemson, his kids were raised in Clemson, he is truly the face of the school. At Bama, he's just next in line. I'm not saying Dabo won't ever take a job at Bama', but it won't be anytime soon.

Some of our fans need to grow a pair and stop worrying.

Dabo was given the opportunity of a lifetime when we gave him the chance to be our head coach. He wasn't really qualified to be our head coach - and he knew it. But he really, really appreciated it, has worked his tail off, and has obviously done an awesome job.
He has put his mark on our program, and has shown that sustained success is possible at Clemson while doing things the right way. He has made Clemson a destination job. I honestly believe when Dabo thinks about the job he has now, and compares it to other jobs, including Alabama, he believes that he has the best job in college football. Clemson's administration has given him whatever he needs, and wants, to be successful. That's huge, because those aren't guarantees at most other places. He and his wife love the university and the upstate.
Are all of these things enough to keep him here if Alabama offers him a job? I have no idea. I'm sure it would be great to return to his alma mater to be the head coach, but I honestly don't believe he would take it. But if he did, we would know that we gave him an incredible opportunity and supported him extremely well throughout. If someone still chooses to leave after all that, then you can't have any regrets.
Besides, worrying about the what-ifs at this point isn't going to change anything, and it just makes those who do worry look like little wusses.
