.... the culture and the program that Dabo and company have built.

His primary purpose in coming back is not to improve his draft status. That is purely secondary to the fact that he loves his teammates, coaches and everything else about the program.

The scripture verse he posted on Twitter with his announcement is a loud testimony about him and the entire Clemson culture.

Congrats.

The sighs and moans from 13 other cities in the conference, not to mention your little sisters to the south, were drowned out by the cheers from Death Valley. I heard them all the way down here in central Florida.

I agree that it likely is not due to his draft status. He had an incredible year this year, and his draft position is more a function of running backs being devalued as a whole. I just think that he is having fun and material things take a back seat. I have to wonder what recruits will think about all of the players choosing to stay at Clemson over millions of dollars. It would certainly impress me if I were a recruit or the parent of one.

There is also the fact of actually graduating. This is an achievement that many rather have before they leave an not have to come back to get it.

I for one if I was a D1 football player would have felt empty of that goal and needed to get it before I left.

This honestly may be one of the driving factors behind ETNs decision. Real life will be there after. Enjoy your time now.
