the Fed expanding and contracting the money supply is what drives the business cycle, they are obligated to keep interests rates above inflation. To his credit money has been cheap under trump. But he is propping up the markets with spit and chewing gum right now. A prolonged recession is bound to hit regardless of who is president. And when I say recession, I am talking consumer confidence and unemployment being the drivers, not the markets.
