Didn't say the major was easier. Not as many students

Oct 21, 2014, 9:59 PM [ in reply to Re: Used to be argriculture, but I have no idea if that is still ]

Applied as agriculture majors compared to say engineering and therefore it was easier to get accepted by declaring agriculture.

General Engineering, that #### was easy.***

I've heard it's textile engineering

Oct 21, 2014, 9:35 PM

No one applies to that major anymore.

I hate to say it but I believe Forestry is up there. I'm a forestry major and the there are just not as many students going into forestry like there used to be.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Doesn't matter. They look at over all GPA, class rank

Oct 21, 2014, 9:57 PM

and SAT/ACT scores.

There's something in these hills.

They compare you to other applicants in your intended major

Oct 21, 2014, 10:03 PM

at least that's how it was when I applied in fall of 2009.

I disagree. They also fill majors. my buddy

Put down agricultural just to get in. After a semester he transferred. It is common

You can have 20,160 kids with perfect sat scores and number 1 class rankings apply for chem e. But the chem e department can not handle that many. Some one has to loose out. They certainly won't cut all the other majors and focus on nothing but chem e.

I am an Agribusiness major and there are not many of us. It is a fairly new major so they are looking to expand the program. Im not sure how easy it is to get accepted into because I switched into Agribusiness after my freshman year.

Transfer with at least a 2.5 and 30 hours.

Oct 21, 2014, 10:03 PM

You are almost guaranteed to get accepted.

Aka PRTM, or as we called it, Party Right Through May. Had a roommate who did this. He's a chef now and makes more than I do as an analytical chemist, even though he never studied. Go figure.

but chemists are cooler. . and get more chicks

actually it is pretty well known ... Education

Oct 22, 2014, 10:34 AM

And specifically Special Education...the world needs good teachers!

But if you have quality SAT and ACT and class rank and GPA is top 1/4 in class...

Education will get you in
