ESPN faux drama - Clemson vs coots

Can someone please explain the motive behind the four letter network creating all this fake drama over our game Sat night? Rece Davis "be careful Clemson". F-Baum last night "the game I'll be keeping and eye on is Clemson against SC".
Really? I mean by their own FPI the more likely upset is Auburn over Bama. Why no "be careful Bama"? Etc. I know they have to "tease" games to put eyeballs on TV's but I don't see our game being that close let alone an upset.
What am I missing?

I think he's spot on. ESPN wants the viewers and they know a lot of people want to see us lose. I think they know all signs point to a SC loss Saturday but they have to build interest in order to get the ratings.

It's their job to get eyeballs on the prime time game not be accurate.

At the end of Reece telling Clemson to be careful, Booger starts laughing and clapping because he knows it will get the Clemson "fanbase" riled up.That's showmanship 101.Now here we are talking about it across social media.And as others have stated, its gonna get more attention for the nation to tune in.
The moment you realize they are actors and not real sports anchors you will be able to enjoy the entertainment value of it.Finebaum himself hasn't had as much exposure since calling out the Clemson fanbase on his show(s).Just my take.
