GT and UVA or UCONN and Cincy?

Dec 1, 2012, 11:34 PM

UVA and UCONN are about the same, Cincy has won 9, 10 games the last 5 years and got to a BCS bowl before Kelly left. Hey GT, see ya

Yeah tell one of the few close rivals in a border state who

Dec 1, 2012, 11:37 PM

we have have a football rivalry (not basketball--BUT football rivalry with) to move on. Yeah! Great. And oh yeah, get less exposure and do less in recruiting in a very big football state. OH YEAH!

lol GT has no affect on our recruiting in Ga

Dec 1, 2012, 11:39 PM

80% of state are UGA fans.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If we lose GT as a conference game, we just have to make

Dec 1, 2012, 11:40 PM [ in reply to Yeah tell one of the few close rivals in a border state who ]

playing GT or UGA every year as a nonconference game a priority. If we were to move to the Big 12 as so many people want to, we'd be in an even worse position in terms of playing teams in border states.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly and expansion is doing this to every team that leave

Dec 1, 2012, 11:42 PM

Neb vs OU was a huge rivalry, Neb vs Texas too, A&M vs Texas. Expansion is killing college football

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Exactly and expansion is doing this to every team that leave

Dec 2, 2012, 12:18 AM

Nope, not killing college football but it is killing the crappy ACC.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you want the ACC to survive... teams CANNOT be leaving

Dec 1, 2012, 11:41 PM [ in reply to Yeah tell one of the few close rivals in a border state who ]

the perception is already weak, and teams leaving just kills it...

add to that, if the plan is to bring in Big East team.... well, good luck

Yes I am, Big 12 lost Neb, Colorado, Mizzu and A&M

Dec 1, 2012, 11:44 PM

and they're still #2 conference aren't they

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If it was Syracuse or Duke we were losing-no big deal

Dec 1, 2012, 11:47 PM

because they are basketball schools and we got a million of them. At least GT has a little football history and success. That hurts the football part of the ACC.

like I said.. you can't be serious...

OU, Texas, OKST, KST, Baylor, TT, Kansas, ISU, TCU, WVU

Keep in mind... they have proven things nationally.

CU, FSU, UM, UNC, NCST, Duke, WF, UVA, VPI, BC (Cuse and Pitt)

Keep in mind... we are FAR from proving anything nationally

Dec 1, 2012, 11:58 PM

KSU will be wake forest again when Snyder is gone. WV has sucked bad in the Big 12. VT, FSU, Miami and VT are right there with them, VT had won 10 8 straight years and CU and FSU will win 10 from here out for a while. ACC isn't going nowhere as much as you want it to fail. But keep trying

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have never said I wanted it to fail.... not true

It's beginning to look like everything he says is goofy. Basically, college football is ruined, the coots are classless, the SEC sucks and Clemson, no matter their record or success, is the greatest football team to ever grace the planet. According to Bryant, anytime Clemson loses, the other team cheated, was lucky or Clemson was the better team but had a bad day. Yeah, that about sums up the world according to Bryant Tiger.

Louisville has won a BCS game and beat Bama in a bowl 35-7

Dec 2, 2012, 12:00 AM

What has GT and UVA done? O and Louisville is back in the BCS again. If that is the case then why so big on WV going to big 12? Louisville has as good facilities as anyone. May want to rethink that

Re: Louisville has won a BCS game and beat Bama in a bowl 35-7

Dec 2, 2012, 8:47 AM

Ga Tech has won a national title. Ga Tech is one of the better football teams in the ACC and one of the teams we have a good rivalry with. It is also only 2 hours away. Losing Tech would be a loss to the ACC and to Clemson. All this realignment crap is really getting old

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree, but just where would we go? We have no invite to

Dec 2, 2012, 12:03 AM [ in reply to Dude, If you think Clemson is sticking around after ]

any other league.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Standing invite from B12 but not satisfied ... Ironic that

Dec 2, 2012, 12:45 AM

Clemson and FSU could already have bolted but remained loyal to the ACC ... For now.

First boy flirts with little poor girl Maryland and they run off into the night with him... UVa? Ga Tech? If either runs off to the Big 10... Clemson and FSU are gone and the jig is up for the ACC...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, if those 2 leave its time to stop with the patch work

Dec 1, 2012, 11:43 PM

and start with the exit plan.

Sorry at that point its time to go. Its already borderline.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No option is good if UVA leaves

Dec 1, 2012, 11:47 PM

that means VT has already signed or is signing with the SEC. Going to the Big 12 with FSU and Miami sucks. Miami will probably never be relevant again with sanctions and no alumni support. FSU, GT, us, and NCSU sticking together was crucial, but anyone of us would also bail on the others for a stable conference.
