I didn't look to see how many guys they played. Might have stuck with their 2-deep for all I know. But they did register a shutout and racked up a lot of yards. Could be more of a game than I expected.

They had 8 rushers carry the ball 55 times for 359 yards and 2 passers completed 22 of 29 passes for 304 yards.Defense help Howard to 172 yards. App had 12 guys catch passes. Game was in Boone. First home opener in Boone since 2001. 5 td passes.

Howard loss 7 games last year and lost 41-0 to Akron first game last year. Wouldn't put too much into that game.we have to be ready but app states first game shouldn't tell us anything about them.
