And the defense will lose a lot again because of all the juniors bailing. Offense will be nasty though.

I told a lot of my friends that, when Tony Stewart and Stephone Anthony announced their commitment, our national championship shot wouldn't be too long.
I always hope for an unbeaten season every year.

I also thought 10-2,with one of our losses coming to either Notre Dame ,or Ga.Tech. The other loss I thought might have been the Thursday niter at Louisville,or at N.C.State. However,if past history tells you anything, you have to beat FSU. I know they lost two conference games this season, but it allways comes down to beating the Noles if you want to win the Atlantic. And I din't really have a pick from the Coastal.

I bet on us with 22-1 odds. I always thought we would be 12-0. Before the season I thought if we beat ND and FSU we would start 12-0. It's the playoff that has me worried. That said, I didn't expect to have to worry about UNC.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut occasionally.
I don't give those young guys credit in seeing something "we older people didn't see," many of those younger guys predict undefeated seasons year after year. I can remember being that way as well, with ALL my favorite sports teams.
Just glad I wasn't a gambler in my young years LOL

It compared Dabo and Ben Carson and how both were pulled into the spotlight when they may have least expected the opportunity, but could go down in history as one of the greatest college football coaches and presidents. My liberal Gamecock in the audience actually enjoyed the comparison!

I expected 9 with 3 that could go either way, being Notre Dame, Ga. Tech, and FSU. Having them all at home helped. Still can't believe I was worried about Tech and they finish 3-9 lol

I thought a 10-2 or 11-1 regular season and was leaning more 11-1 in the spring. But with the offseason turmoil and injuries, especially Mike Williams, I thought 10-2 would probably happen before 11-1.
I also thought scar would be somewhere between 5-7 and 7-5. Glad to be wrong on both accounts!

I knew the way our schedule set up, it was possible. With our team being so young, wasn't sure we had the experience to pull it off. So proud of our coaches and players. Just unbelievable to accomplish this with a team this young. Everything from here on out is gravy...Go Tigers!

I predicted a lot of what's happening but not 12-0.
Nov 29, 2015, 10:48 AM

I harped during the entire off season against the three problems ESPiN pointed out would haunt Clemson.
They continually pushed the idea that DW4 was a delicate little flower who's pedals would wilt with the first harsh ray of direct sunlight. Then there we all the losses Clemson suffered with so many defenders going pro. The loss of Chad The Great would be insurmountable and even a good head coach wouldn't be able to overcome such.
I saw the injuries to DW and recognized that his ACL was partially torn in high school. Finishing it off during one of our practices didn't seem extensively fragile to me. Our backup defenders were a great part of our #1 defense. By adding the Venables training to the good recruiting classes we've had I predicted we'd start the season ranked at or near the top ten and finish in middle single digits.
Then there was Coach Obstinate who left for home. I think anyone who saw what Elliot and Scott did with Cole in the 34 point blowout over OU should have predicted a step up from Mr. Interviewme.
I knew we'd win ten.

All our tough games at home. Which won't be the case next season. But with that X factor at QB, anything can happen. He's awesome and a true leader and winner. He's had his ups and downs but he always got it corrected to this point. I guess his sophomore slump is a 12-0 regular season. Pretty good.

I sincerely say this from the bottom of my heart, I truly believed we were going to be 12-0.. Only game I had thought was gonna be tough for us was ND and they ended up playing us tough.. I seen this coming in the summer. I was telling everybody this was our year!
