Don’t count on getting any holidng calls. Just don’t. ACC refs don’t call holding.

Yes, it’s a travesty the best DLine in the country has exactly zero accepted holding calls in its favor this season through five games. (As a control I checked Bama. Bama has four which also seems low, but substantially more than zero.)
As I combed through our opponents schedules and play, one thing jumped out immediately: holding isn’t called often. And multiple holding calls against one team is rare, but then funny outliers present themselves.
Texas A&M has zero accepted holding calls against vs Clemson and Bama. They must be good. Or do they get the benefit of the underdog? Against UL Monroe and Arkansas they have an amazing seven holding calls against them! 7! How does that even work?
The real kick to sack are ACC officials. They don’t seems to care. Of the six opponents I reviewed(Furman through Wake) only one accepted holding call was made by an ACC crew- in the BC/WF game.
It’s odd to look at the numbers and see almost every school has a holding penalty here or there, then to see zeros in ACC play...or when they play Clemson. If I was an opposing OLine coach I tell my boys to hold’em tight. They won’t call it.
