He was telling us that after he's long gone, he wants that to be the next head coach's house.

I may be wrong but reading that Dabo has said this multiple times, Thad Turnipseed & staff were doing the shopping/purchasing for fixtures/features for the house, and the special recruiting area makes me think IPTAY/athletic dept paid for the house at least in part.

I have interpreted Dabo saying he hopes it's useful for the next head coach as a way to say the house doesn't belong to him but the school.

Dabo won’t leave Clemson for Alabama. He isn’t stupid. Whoever follows Saban will be expected to do things Saban’s way, and Dabo likes to pave his own path, which is what he’s done at Clemson.
