Don't drink tea at night. If you do, you might as well leave your pillow in the bathroom.

If I drink a lot of caffeine that day, I will pee all night. But at 63 most things still working ok, but limit the beverages after 6 pm.

Be smart. See a good Urologist. They can fix it.

You could always have your prostate removed....

Feb 19, 2016, 11:11 AM

The side effects of such a procedure are a little on the unpleasant side (incontinence, depression, frustration, sexual dysfunction, and impotence), but at least you won't have to get-up and pee four times a night anymore.

You could get your dr. to prescribe a diuretic. Take it about an hour before bedtime and get rid of the fluid.

Re: Does any one else have to pee 4 times a night?

Feb 19, 2016, 11:20 AM

This is not something to take lightly as many on Tnet suggest. See a urologist to determine what is going on. Many, many guys suffer from bps and that is not necessarily a serious problem. You didn't say what your age is but if you are less than 50 you need to get on this right away. If you take a lot of antihistamines that could explain your problem. They are murderous on the prostate for many men...... including your truly! Caffeine is one of the worse things you can put into your body. Drink coffee and or tea and expect to visit the men's on a lot!

I am diabetic, but I pretty much keep it in control by taking my meds at the very same time twice a day at 6am and 6pm every day of me life. And I do pretty good at keeping up with my sugar intake, and my readings are from 135 to right below 200 daily.

You need to see a pro but if you're not drinking water for fear of peeing, it can actually make you go more. Your urine becomes concentrated and will irritate the bladder and increase the urge to pee.

Re: Does any one else have to pee 4 times a night?

Feb 19, 2016, 9:59 PM

^^^^Is that really true. I've always wondered why I don't urinate as often at night and I drink water before bed. I usually sleep thru the night too. I seldom ever have to get up. Of course I don't drink sodas late at night either. This is interesting if true about the water.

That reminds me of the one about the two old guys complaining about their bathroom habits. The first guy says, "I've got a big problem, I wake up at 6:00 every morning, and it takes me forever to go to the bathroom". The second guy replies, My problem is even bigger, at 6:00 every morning I pee like a racehorse and crap like a goose". "How is that a problem?", aske the first guy. The second guy says, "I don't wake up until 7:00".

It sounds like you need a urologist to get checked out, Prostate cancer in men can very deadly if you don't catch it in time!!! Just find a Urology doctor in your home town. Just tell them that your plumbing needs to be checked out bc you don't think your flapper valve is working right, or you have a bad O-ring!!! And they will look for and find your problem. Hopefully all you will need is a daily pill called flomax that will allow you to empty your bladder when you pee pee....
