Do you think if we had this defense in 2012

We would of made it to the national championship game? That was Boyd 's best year imo plus we had SW, Ellington, Nuk, and a better oline than this year. I honestly think we could of made it to the national championship game that yr but idk if we could of beat bama

I have often wondered the same thing. I say yes. Hopefully 2016 we can have the stars align with the offense and defense. Our defense will be a complete unknown going into next year. Need some young bucks to step up.

Somehow, some way, I think espn and the sec supporters would have found a way to justify Bama slipping into the title game over Clemson. And then we'd be overly p!ssed at the sec agenda.
"But... but... but... Bama won the sec title game (thanks to the genius of Mark Richt)... and... and... they impressively beat Weber State, Savannah State, Tennessee Tech, and Northwest Montana State Mining School in their out-of-conference schedule. Clearly, they are deserving!"

Forgot bama lost to Johnny Manziel that year. Man that sucks because we could have won a national championship playing notre dame.

That was the first game of the season. We weren't at mid season form then. If we were to play them again Im not saying we would beat them but we would play alot better on defense. Plus we didn't play an offense with that kind of running game in 2012. LSU in 2012 would of been the closes thing to UGA in 2014 & I think we handled LSU pretty well

interesting point. sammy wasn't sammy in 2012 though. in 2011 we had good sammy plus dwayne allen.
