Do you prefer the under dog role??

So far since 2015 Clemson in the post season has never been respected. We've been underdogs every game in the playoffs we've ever had I believe. This year we're undefeated and still receiving no respect, 700 yards of offense and an absolutely dominant defensive game at Wake far better than what Notre Dame did and not a single person in the "sports media" is giving us a chance a lot of them going as far as saying we won't go to the playoffs and even some say we will lose next weekend. Ohio State barely escaped now unranked TCU. They were shut down for 3 1/2 quarters against Penn State who is absolutely not known as a top defense and they credit the "environment" but their offense is still hailed as top tier as why but Clemson led A&M throughout the whole game and they're said to have "barely" won. Notre Dame has had "signature wins" against unranked VT who lost to ODU giving up 632 yards and 30 first downs. Notre Dame beat Michigan a team that has squeeked by in almost every game since who actually out gained Notre Dame despite 2 turnovers. So as a Clemson fan I'm used to not getting all the respect we deserve, but have we gotten used to being put on the back burner at times until we come out and beat top teams in the playoffs or do we play with a chip on our shoulder because of this?

Forgot to mention Stanford is now unranked as they lost a second week in a row and to unranked Utah who put up more points than Notre Dame.

Yes, I prefer the underdog role. We’re not gonna get a fair shake from ESECPN. The SEC network is WHOLLY owned by ESECPN. Not a rumor, not a play on words, not a misunderstanding. They OWN it, ALL OF IT. ESECPN shares the profits from the SEC network with the SEC. Exact terms are undisclosed but it’s estimated to be CLOSE to a 50/50 profit share. The problem is ESECPN is losing money hand over fist. They fired more than 100 employees last year, including many on air personalities. That is why you now see commentators like Zfamurpaw Ghouklwethscbyerts hosting national broadcasts. Last year he was calling Cricket Matches in the Pakistani semi-pro D League. He’s on American TV now because he’ll work for a plate of humus and a new loin cloth once a month. He’ll say whatever he’s told to say and so will everyone else.......cuz they like eating. ESECPN is losing money, so they’re hard selling one of their best products. If they have to lie in order to do that, they’re not ethically opposed to it. That’s the deal.

I prefer it, and Dabo knows how to use it to motivate the team.
This year feels a little different to me though.
Our first year in the playoffs, we were doubted because we hadn't proven we could truly get over the hump. Our Natty year, we were given quite a bit more credit, but were doubted because we hadn't proven we could beat Bama, and had lost a game we shouldn't have (Pitt). Last year, we had proven we were elite, but were doubted because we lost so many players off of the Natty team, and we hadn't proven we could reload every year rather than rebuild.
This year, we came in with such high expectations. We had a ton of people returning, including the entire all-everything Defensive line. We were expected to shutout every team we played, while putting up 50 ppg. I think sometimes people forget how difficult it actually is to win each and every week in college football. Also, that's just not how Dabo operates. He doesn't care about style points, he only cares about wins and losses and his players. He is going to play the young guys who have earned it, and build valuable experience for later in the season (which imo will pay HUGE dividends down the road).
If everything falls our way, and we win it all again this year, we'll still be doubted next year due to how much of our defense we'll lose... That said, I think we'll get the benefit of the doubt more and more with each successful year we have, and as we continue to prove that we can reload each year and remain elite.
