Do we now believe that the Cards defense is real?

They looked real to me, even if Watson was lost and the Tigers had to go with Cole.
I haven't seen the offense that befuddled in a long time.

at least picked up one offensive touchdown I think but they were as advertised. Best defense we've played.

If our Offensive line wasn't a make shift line due to injuries. and We had Deshaun the whole game. It may have not been as close. but back up offensive line, back up qb and no running game. They're talented and well coached, but still not ready to call them #1 in the land.

Sure they are for real. So is the Clemson defense. I will take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. And our Tigers won. Get DW back for the game in Atlanta, and Go Tigers!!

But up until now, they had played nobody. And even today, our OL is suspect. Not sure they would be #1 at this point if they had faced teams like Georgia and the Semiholes.

We'll see in a few weeks about the Semiholes. I think you guys are better, personally - certainly on defense.
Somehow thinking Louisville is less than "all that" on defense ignores 2 things -
you condemn your offense for one thing
and you overlook how many guys out there will be playing Sundays. Charlie Strong recruited those players for the most part, aside from Sample. Strong built defenses. Last season, we were #1 and beat the crap out of Miami in a bowl. We lost 2 NFL first rounders and the starting MLB for Buffalo. Most of us think we improved. What does that tell you?

Our O coordinator is not that good and our O line is doing the best they can, but it needs help.
Cole was playing hurt and didn't practice all week due to injury.
Thank god for Coach V and the D!

Yes, they're real. Watson had -5 yards passing and 10 yards rushing before he left the game and he got 8-9 of those yards on the play that he got hurt on
