Venables can coach it. He changes defenses so much I'm sure he could handle it.

We have defensive ends and linebackers coming in next year.

Or the Ohio state model with 4 DE on the line.

Venables has a ton of options.

We'll be okay. It hurts depth for sure but we'll be okay. Besides the 9 man receiver spot will Overton, Higgins, Ross, and Ladson. Good luck to teams defending that.

3-4 is tough to recruit for.

After Dex leaves it will be hard to get a NG of the quality we need.

Absolutely not. We will be just fine. Its not the first time we've been a little thin, and it wont the last. Venables and staff will make it work.

We've got about...16 months to cure our lack of depth at that position.

I'm not a big fan of dipping into the JUCO ranks, but we could conceivably do that. I'm sure somewhere there's some grad transfers that would love to spend their senior years at Clemson showcasing themselves.

Alternatively, we could do what I suspect we'll do - recruit 3+ defensive tackles and just plug and play like we always have. When one of the best programs in America has a HELP WANTED sign out over a certain position - especially one where we could see not one but two guys go Top-10 overall in the draft, not to mention that Huggy Bear will almost certainly be drafted himself - you're going to get a flood of applicants.

We'll get some players, however. If there's a silver lining here, it's that it happened early, which gives us plenty of time to scout and find DT's.

Nope. We will sign 3-4 DTs this year and move forward. Pinkney and Williams will be experienced and really good next year. Also Jeffries is going to be a good one
