Law enforcement and the legal system use criminals all the time to testify against and bust other, bigger criminals. Seems the same general theory applies here.

Cohen is a disbarred attorney and convicted felon. Not sure if you have seen that posted on the P&R board today. The little other details, whether true facts or fake news, mean nothing since he is a disbarred attorney and convicted felon.

I've witnessed in court an instance where a plea deal for testimony turned out
to be such a disaster that the DA dropped all charges mid testimony because the
dude getting the deal was lying on the stand. I truly admire that DA for doing
that because sitting in the jury box I could not tell, in fact the entire jury
believed the witness.
Does anyone from either side here think for a second, in our polarized political
climate, that anyone in this circus would call him out if he changed his testimony ?
He's lied before, he'll lie again to avoid breaking the deal - if necessary. I don't
know if he's lying and neither does anyone else in that room unless they know his
story keeps changing. And no one from the Dem side would point that out like the
DA from my experience above because it would be political suicide.

Yes, virtually every felon who ever decided to take a plea deal and testify against former associates.
Sammy Gravano killed 19 people and testified successfully sending John Gotti to prison for life.
Cohen is a minnow in a sea of whales.

So, what's your point exactly? Should we release every prisoner/PoS every put away by the testimony of someone who was just as crappy as they were/are?
Besides, all of these statements will be checked out and if is lying then they can give him some prison time to think about it.
