I posted yesterday that I didn't see WR Diondre Overton on the field Saturday and Jeff Scott said Overton did not play. He said they played Justyn Ross more and it was a "coaches' decision."

hmm interesting. I like Overton I hope he is back soon. Ross is the Boss.

A true freshman playing instead of an experienced player?

What a slap in the face! That's not fair! Is Overton transferring?

It may depend on whether he thinks he got a fair shot or not***

Thanks for the up-date, David Hood !!!!!!!!!!!!

Another transfer perhaps?

I guess that explains why Ross was on the field more as I was a little surprised to see him out there that much. Although...and this is purely just from personal observation...Ross already looks like he has surpassed Overton from a skill/raw talent standpoint.

Sure feels like Ross has done more than Deon Cain did last year (in total). I think Ross may be our 2nd or 3rd best receiver - haven't watched his blocking ability however.

Since Overton has not redshirted, it may be a decision to preserve his options to potentially redshirt this year and/or transfer. He has two guys in front of him with two highly rated tall receivers coming in next year.

And/or keeping him healthy in case we needed another

Ross is a Stud. Period. Doesn’t even play like a true freshman.

Given that the Tigers went to the running game

this makes sense. Ross has received praise for his physical downfield blocking.
