All of this blame the refs stuff sounds like coot talk

after they lose a football game. Could they have made better calls? Of course, but the truth is also that we have lost 13 games this year. Our only win over a ranked team was against VT and they were missing their best player. We should have had a tournament spot wrapped up before now.

While what you say is true, that was one of the worst officiated games probably in the history of sports. It was seriously that bad. You've got to pin it on the refs, they're what allowed NC State to come back.

was horrendous but it wouldn't have been a close game had the refs not altered the game with the BS calls on Thomas and our other post players.

we had 2 fouls in the second half until about 4 minutes to play. How did the officials allow to NC State to come back?

Agree we had 3 fouls called on us until the last minute... not sure why we committed 3 in the last seconds to reset the clock. That’s not on the officials, that’s on us.

We scored 7 points in the final 15:11. I think we had something to do with letting them comeback.
With that said, the struggles definitely coincided with Thomas being on the bench, and a few of the fouls called against him were pretty egregious. Still, you have to be better on offense than that.

This was the worst officiated game with Clemson involved in more than a decade. I don't care what you think.

Thank you colberttiger . Will get TD’d a lot but there really is truth in what you say. The last call was horrible to say the least but the ref complaining started when we were up by 16 in the first half. Doesn’t matter what sport, you get calls for and against you.
Didn’t hear any complaints about the umps in the first unc game when Wilkie went around on what should have been called strike 3. The next pitch he gets a hit and we score. This was quoted on Clemson radio. They even said Clemson got a gift...
We played the last minute of the game about as bad a strategy as I’ve seen in basketball. Also Skara had the first rebound and couldn’t hang onto it. Never should have been that close.

Not what Tim Bourret was saying on the radio. He admitted that last one was bad but not the 2 before.

So does another coach keep those horrendous game controlling situations from happening? Whatever stops that is what needs to be focused on. Brad's players play hard and he develops them but we don't have a $urplu$$ of superstars and we aren't getting a fair shake on the court either.

What's frustrating is we have same situation against unc and don't get call. And refs had swallowed their whistles the whole 2nd half till 2.3sec left.

Even the television commentators commented on how poor the officiating was.
That said, you can't go 11 minutes in the second half without scoring.

but if refs simply do their job, and do it properly, then we have at least 2 more wins, maybe 3 or 4 more. It shouldn't be too much to ask.
