lit them up and shut them out, but this Wake team barely squeaked by Liberty and beat a bad UNC team. Clemson will be the first time FSU faces adversity after months of being told this is their year and people telling them how great they are. Look what happened to Stanford last Saturday. Being the hunter and hunted are 2 different things. I know Clemson has always been much better being the hunter than the the top team being hunted. This will be a fun game.

i watched that game. wake had some success moving the ball early, they just didn't capitalize. not saying wake ever had a chance but watching wake be able to move the ball gives me a ton of confidence.

we moved the ball at will against this same defense last year. nothing has changed.

Actually, FSU had a few defensive backs suspended last year and FSU played with Clint Trickett. They also played in Clemson. This is significantly different than last year.

"A few defensive backs" means Greg Reid, who was terrible in coverage and isn't on the team anymore.

Clint Trickett also put up better numbers in that game than EJ Manuel ever has.

Excuses, excuses. Here, I have one that's even more consequential: Tajh also giftwrapped a TD for FSU when we driving down the field to put a fork in it.

depth and experience on defense". It is going to be hard to overcome that in one week. I hope not but it could be ugly.
