He had a big strike zone. I thought he was pretty consistent with it tho.

He was consistent in regards to having one strike zone for Clemson and an entirely different strike zone for Moorehead State.

Watching on TV, he had a huge zone - about 20% larger than it should’ve been. I don’t think he was very consistent between teams, which is where the frustration came from the crowd. Plus, it wasn’t just one or two bad calls, he’d call a high fastball a strike, clearly out of the zone, then follow that with a strike on a low and outside breaking ball. Felt like they were a good 4 ft away from each other.

Also, put some of our hitters in tough spots - down in counts on terrible strike calls and chasing the third strike. Happened to Davidson and Beer in big situations.

These umpires can’t seem to get it with these junk curve balls. Pitches break around the plate but are called strikes. Can’t blame the pitchers - they know it and use it to their advantage.
