Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Don't they say this every year?

From a talent standpoint...yes...

Sep 10, 2020, 9:34 AM

but to better clarify what Sallee said...he states the Canes can sneak into the group with ND and Clemson in terms of consistency and performance. There is alot of hype for them this year and what will be interesting if if they can handle it.

There was a lot of hype for them last year. I think preseason they were picked to win the coastal.

It's true that Miami gets a bunch of preseason hype every year, but they actually have a QB this time. We'll get a glimpse tonight if that will be enough to make them relevant again, but they sure better figure out how to play defense too.

I've seen no indication they will do much with Diaz as HC. In fact much the opposite

Diaz appears to me to be a Rick Pittino type Snake Oil

Salesman, only without the winning pedigree.

I guess some of that really potent weed still is available down there.

My guess is that much of the team will be about 160 feet away on the opposite sideline.

Truthfully, I could see Miami being close to ND. Both could realistically go 8-3 this season. At that point they might be ranked. I think Louisville is the real sleeper right now but Miami is a dark horse. They don't have a bad D and if their offense has a pulse, they would have an optimistic season.

See is believing. That is what was said last year but show me is all I am asking.

The stupid headline comparing them to Clemson is understandable considering it's from a Miami blog.

It makes some valid points if you read it, particularly that their team could be underrated. However, seems like the hype is catching up to them so maybe expectations are about where they should be (except the part about being comparable to Clemson).

"If Miami can win the games it's supposed to win in 2020, the Hurricanes can live up to the title of the most underrated in college football. "

Pretty big goals for this program right there./s

You don't build championship programs around one-and-done players. But they can help put you into the spotlight for future players.

I don't think Miami is close to ND and not where near Clemson by watching them tonight.

ND and Miami are in the pre season, way over rated teams. Like Michigan and UGA.

I see FSU getting back to being a good team before Miami but I even don't see that happening for a few seasons.
