Did anyone here live in the shoe boxes?

I dont know how but my freshman year i was in 10-302. Reality crept in my sophomore year and i was in the tin cans on the sunny side one semester. Second semester moved to new F. Bottom floor. Lots of palmetto bugs. Going to the head at night was a real challenge. Those were the days.

Johnstone F-4- Frosh Cope- Soph. It was ok. Cramped and my neighbors loved to watch Simpsons and Married with Children right when I was trying to do homework that was due the next day. Really annoying how thin those brick walls were. Moved to Thornhill after that.

D-3 entire time. Loved the street side. D-3 was ground level on the street side. Game days were a blast.

B-5 was ground level, and my room overlooked the square with Harcombe Dining Hall was straight ahead from my window.
It was great for watching the young lady Tigers!

YEp! Soph year stayed in one of the lower ones closest to the road. I don’t recall the name. It was fine and an upgrade from the tin cans!

“New F” had a/c. That would have been 1969. Someone here talked about showers and toilets. All of mine were community showers and toilets only had dividers and no doors. I think urinals had no dividers....not quite sure on that. A different world back then. Oh, the shoe boxes only had #’s. No names. In 1967 #9 was the jock dorm.

Johnstone E3 freshman year. No cable or privacy walls in shower Johnstone E3 sophomore year. No cable, but added privacy walls in shower McCabe 1st half Junior year. Then co-ops and off campus living for a couple years. Last semester, lived illegally on frat hall.
So many fun memories.

I lived in one my freshman year. I think it was either Young or Sanders. I can't remember which. It has well over 40 years!

I was the RHD of Cope the last year of grad school. We built the volleyball court at that time. Played a lot of 3v3 basketball in that courtyard.
