Did anybody here go to the SC College All-star Bowl @NGU?

North Greenville University hosted the inaugural South Carolina All-Star Bowl today. My oldest son will be going to NGU next Fall. We were up there today for Future Crusader Day. There was a bunch of hub-bub on campus about the All-star game later in the day. When I got home and looked it up...guess what I found out?

The Upstate team was coached by Danny Ford!

I went and it was a pretty good game. The upstate team was coached by Danny with mostly Clemson assistants including Brian Dawkins, Richard Moncrief, Patrick Sapp ansd a few others. The upstate won 23-10 by the way.

The game had Danny Ford coaching the upstate college seniors and Willie Jeffries coached the low country players. Basically players were chosen if you played for a college in SC or if you were from SC and played at an out of state college. Most of the players came from schools like Newberry, Citadel, Furman etc. Clemson's Corico Wright (formerly Hawkins I believe) played and there were a couple of gamecock players on the low country team. It was fun, the crowd wasn't very big probably mostly parents and families of players. I saw UGA coach Mark Richt. His son played QB for Mars Hill.
