when there was time on the clock? Did any reporter dare to ask him about that? Did ESPN explain why he did it? Did he just not want to be there any longer?

He could see 50+ in the distance and wanted to start shortening the game so he didn’t run into it.

I think the huge hit Mullen put on Tua is the primary reason. Very dangerous, scary play from Alabama's standpoint. Taking a knee was the right decision. Tua was lucky.
