Sunday night update: Tigers getting healthy in time for Gamecocks

Several Clemson starters missed Saturday’s 33-13 victory over Wake Forest, including running back Wayne Gallman, right guard Tyrone Crowder, right tackle Joe Gore and cornerback Mackensie Alexander. Linebacker Ben Boulware left early in the game after suffering a stinger in his shoulder, but head coach Dabo Swinney told the media Sunday evening that the Tigers should be close to full strength for Saturday’s noon kickoff at South Carolina. attitude players need when it comes to this particular game every year.

No player is EVER going to sit it out unless they're completely incapacitated.

Afraid they are going to try to take Watson out of the game...you know how talk is. Offensive line protect him...give him time and stay focused. Go Tigers!!!!!

Jalen Williams played liked a seasoned veteran

Nov 22, 2015, 8:34 PM

I really liked what I saw out of Williams in stead of Boulware. Boulware over pursues, gets himself in bad spots at times. It can be his best asset. But, it tends to hurt more than help the previous three games. Good to know Williams is a technically sound replacement. He played text book linebacker all night long. His coverage skills were head & shoulders above Boulware's. Will be interesting to see if the "Wally Pip" bug bit Big Ben! Go Tigers!!!

If Ben is reading tiger net which I doubt he is...I would tell him thanks for all he does.
It is easy to criticize off the field. I know I have done it, but I really appreciate how he puts all into every play. He is the definition of "all in".
Everybody is going to get caught flat footed sometimes. Even Watson has had a few picks that was on him ,but he makes up for it. Ben has made up for more than his share of mistakes. In fact I got a man crush on the whole "d"
There isn't much they could do to ruin my opinion of them. "#wetoodeep"

Ben plays linebacker like his coach would if he were on the field. Watching a game, my son said that Ben was crazy -I told him thats what you had o be to play linebacker-crazy. Guarentee one of the first things an opposing QB does is look where #10 is. I love his effort. But we have a full stable of linebackers like thhe old days. BV is worth every penny we pay him and more.

Apparently the WF coaches were looking where Ben was too

They changed their blocking scheme to have a guard pull and block him.

Ben plays Beast Mode all the time!

Nov 23, 2015, 11:06 AM

I agree that Ben makes some mistakes but it is because he plays aggressive! As my fellow Tigernetters have said; "He makes up for his mistakes with his play!"

It has been along time that we had a LB that sells out like Ben, his aggressive play leads to chaos for the opposing offense, the QB has to account for him all the time! It reminds me of the old LB's of the Pittsburgh Steelers Steel Curtain, with Jack Lambert and Ham, you had to account for them!

Jim Brown said he wanted to know where #### Butkis was at all times!

That describes our Ben Boulware, I sure am glad he is ours!

I hope Coach V and his family is happy and settled at Clemson. With all of these coaching changes I hope our entire staff is all-in with our program and stays.

on the coot rivalry since y'all "haven't talked SC much."

If they hate the coots 1/4th as much as I do, the game will be over in the 1st quarter.
