Delusional Coot

Nov 24, 2013, 6:48 PM

I just had to comply with this guy's wishes on FGF and tell him that the answer is 31 minutes flat - it would have been sooner if I hadn't been doing something more important than reading FGF:

SCAR wins the National Title Reply

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is how it happens:

Projected BCS standings are as follows:

1. Alabama
2. FSU
3. Ohio State
4. Auburn
5. Taters
6. Missouri
7. Oklahoma State
8. Stanford
9. South Carolina
10. Michigan State

Here is a REASONABLE avenue to win the National Championship:

Step 1: We curb stomp the Taters and JF handles Mizzou. Result ? We jump Stanford and Oklahoma State due to our "impressive win" against an ACC juggernaut (Ha!) and SEC bias. Taters and Mizzou are out because of their losses. SCAR ranking = 5

Step 2: EITHER (a) FSU loses to Florida or in the ACCCG (unlikely) or (b) Ohio State loses to Michigan or Michigan State in its championship game. One of these two teams will choke. Remember, they both suck. SCAR ranking = 4

Step 3: Alabama beats Auburn in the Iron Bowl. This must happen because if Alabama loses the powers that be (Saban) will ensure that Alabama still gets its due over us. SCAR ranking = 3

Step 4: South Carolina beats Alabama in the SECCG (ala 2010). SCAR ranking = 2

Step 5: All of the pundits start praising the SEC and we start to hear "there have been several two loss SEC teams to play for the title", "FSU title would almost be illegitimate if the SEC champ doesn't play…", "Tennessee loss was not that bad because…..", "South Carolina is the hottest team in the country right now….", and "look at their overall body of work…" SEC bias works for US!!!!! Just revisit the 2006 Gators for support for this. That team sucked and got a heck of alot of help.

I will now see how long this takes to be linked to Taternet under a thread called "Delusional Coot"

No harm, Those scenarios are always fun

I have seen plenty of them here and it is cray for where these 2 teams have been that there is even a chancne to get there

I would bet VEgas has at least a 5% chance that could happen

Yes very similar to finding the frozen place under earth

Tell 'em Delusional Coot

Nov 24, 2013, 8:44 PM

smh

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Pardon me,but you confuse "delusional" with just plain

Nov 24, 2013, 7:27 PM

stupid. They love to run their Bama mouths to back up their Vanderbilt trophy case.I can't think of another college football team that draws 80K to watch them play that matter so little.Ole Orlando Steve still looking for that second conference championship in SCjr in 110 years. Not gonna happen.

Funny - it is interesting that they likely have a better shot at a NC than us at this point even though it's never, ever going to happen.

We do need to bury them this year. Enough is enough. Here's another thread from FGF:

Clemson's Last Win in the Rivalry : Some Historical Perspective

- George W. Bush was in office
- The DOW was hovering around 8100
- Michael Jackson was working on a comeback tour
- Bernie Madoff was a free man
- SlumDog Millionare was #1 at the Box Office

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Only because FSU is in the same division...if that weren't

Nov 24, 2013, 8:07 PM

the case, we'd have a better shot than them...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No way they jump all those one loss teams

Nov 24, 2013, 8:22 PM

That just won't happen. One loss MSU will be ahead of them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If they beat a highly ranked Clemson team, and 1 Bama

Nov 24, 2013, 8:29 PM

They could argue for SOS. But hopefully we take care of business and take all that talk out of the discussion.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

they can't hide that loss to UT...that was ugly...

Nov 24, 2013, 8:32 PM

people also remember the struggle they had against UFL.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

But it's a loss to an $EC team...so it isn't REALLY a loss

Nov 24, 2013, 8:40 PM

lol. The minds of the voters may still be swayed by SEC bias...never count that out...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

As opposed to what? A logical coot?

Nov 24, 2013, 8:28 PM

No way MSU would be a factor even at one loss...It would be Oklahoma State or maybe a beloved one loss Alabama.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

why not?

Nov 24, 2013, 8:31 PM

what if they stomp Ohio State, why would they not be a factor then? T

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A one loss MSU with a win over the Ohio State?***

Under the crazy aforementioned scenario, MSU's issues would be the following:

- They are currently behind SC in the BCS
- SC would have two wins over top ten teams from this point forward, including the #1 team
- The NC is not going to be played without an SEC team. Let's face it, it would be fixed that way.
- MSU lost to Notre Dame and will have beat noone except OSU. SC would have beaten 3 top ten teams and a BCS-bound UCF who bet Louisville.

Tell 'em coot

Nov 24, 2013, 8:45 PM

we have found another one

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

At least this Delusional Coot admits an SEC BIAS exists.

Nov 24, 2013, 8:44 PM

But he is still delusional.

Re: Delusional Coot

Nov 24, 2013, 8:50 PM

We really need to handle bidness here...I do think there's a decent shot A&M will beat Missouri - It's Manziel's final push for the Heisman and Sumlin wants the USC job....And while I don't think FSU will lose to FLA or in the Championship game, there is a shot OSU could lose to Michigan or MSU...So if that happened and we choked again, it might come down to SC vs. Bama for that scenario to be potentially in the mix? Can't happen on our watch...
