Dear Dances With Perjury:

Oct 18, 2018, 2:14 AM

President Trump has decided to pay up and honor his wager that he placed against your claim of strong Native American genealogy.

I know this is fake because Trump has never honored anything except himself and never pays up unless it’s hush money.

I'd like to see some hardcore evidence of that. You know, whiny liberals have been making claims and yet, President Trump has honored his word since day one of his presidency.

"If you want to keep your health insurance, you can keep your health insurance. If you want to keep your doctor, you can keep your doctor." ~Barak Obama

"Some of those jobs just aren't coming back to America. Manufacturing jobs just aren't coming back."

"The recent attacks in Benghazi took place due to a YouTube video that was offensive." ~Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Shall I continue?

Don't change the subject.

Trump lies but his lies are trivial compared to the lies every other person who has ever run for public office has told. Most politicians lie about what they will do when they get elected. Trump laid out many, many promises which seemed to sound good but which most people did not believe he would do.

To date he's done most of what he promised to do and none of those are trivial accomplishments. Even though congressional republicans would not pass a bill which included funding of the wall he has continued to divert money from other government entities to building that wall he promised.

I've live 66 years and have a fair overview of every president since JFK and I've never seen a man as honest as Trump in office. I've never seen one who was called out as much in the media for trivial lies he told either.

To your point, Obama's biggest lies he told about obamacare, they were about the promises he made to the poor to get them to the polls and vote for him. Whether they admit it or not he promised their lives would be better.

What he gave them was a continuation of the flood of cheap labor across the southern border which replaced the unskilled labor in this country. Only the poor suffer when the border is left unsecured. Obama promised that the poor would be the focus of his wealth distribution, they were not. They got halfazzed healthcare and food stamps while the banks, auto manufacturers and wall street got the money.

What Trump gave them was jobs, a return of the dignity of providing for their families and some unimportant, trivial lies which damaged no one.

here’s a few Trump “promises” about his health care promises

Oct 18, 2018, 7:43 AM

"?I'm gonna to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. The government's gonna pay for it."
"We're going to have insurance for everybody."
"My plan includes lower numbers, much lower deductibles."

Also -
He told poor folks in W Va he was going to bring coal back to get their votes

There are more but it’s too early to go looking for them.

Just like all politicians, he makes promises he knows he won’t keep so he’s o different and he lies about #### that doesn’t matter which is the definition of a pathological liar.

As far as those jobs, the bubble is about to burst. Ford is headed for big layoffs BMW is looking at a hiring freeze and Volvo is stopping expansion plans.

His one big promise - the wall - is an expensive but worthless piece of theater that will do nothing to make Americans safer.

That's on congress for not putting a bill on his desk to...

Oct 18, 2018, 7:51 AM

fix healthcare. You can blame it on Trump but the fact is that without congress passing a bill he can only do so much with executive order. I lay the blame on not having comprehensive healthcare and insurance reform on dems and RINOs in congress. They've also stifled immigration reform and a legitimate path to citizenship for DACA on them too. Trump is fixing all he can but the people in congress are playing politics with healthcare, health insurance and immigration reform to keep their offices.

Yep, his accomplishments speak for themselves...

Once a crook, always a crook. The United States will be paying the price for his "deals" for quite a while.

UnCaged Tiger, you forget the nearly $11Trillion in debt that Obama added in 8 years. Add that up my fellow Tiger and you will see why Trump's plan will work.

Trivial, as I said.

He's done no harm except to his moral conduct which doesn't seem to be an issue among politicians of either party.

How about he's going to build a wall and make....

Oct 18, 2018, 8:56 AM [ in reply to Re: Dear Dances With Perjury: ]

Mexico pay for it?

He promised to declare China a currency manipulator immediately after taking office. He didn't do it...actually said they weren't one at one point last year...now seems to be coming back the other way.

He promised to release his tax returns after the audit is over. Where are they? He's now saying after he leaves office.

Promised Child Care tax credits, repeal obamacare 3.8% tax on investment, AMT, and to cut the number of tax brackets to 3. Didn't happen.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He's dealing with both Mexico and China on trade.

Oct 18, 2018, 9:30 AM

He appears to be playing hardball with them. Just this morning he threatened to send troops to the southern border to stop invaders. He may yet build a wall and may in some fashion make Mexico pay for it. I consider calling China a currency manipulator as nothing but talk. Saying that's a harm to not calling them one is not something on my radar.

The trade agreement with China may force their hand on currency manipulation. The end result may be sufficient to say he's addressed their handling of the value of their currency. When he's being hard on an adversary I don't expect him to be openly harsh with his rhetoric. I expect him to be hard as he has been on Russia with sanctions and selling weapon defenses to the nations snuggled up too Russian borders rather than being big with talk.

Congress has not done enough to help. As long a pubs can't push things through because of the RINO arm of the party or the obstinate pubs like Paul and the dems refusal to do anything but obstruct and whine he's helpless on some issues. You should give him credit for all he's accomplished and expect him to continue to do all he can.

Everything in congress has to be negotiated, nothing is simple and that's part of why every POTUS has to give to get. He did all he could with repealing Obamacare. His executive orders helped but congress just couldn't pass the bill to repeal it. I've heard it was one vote short.

He's not nearly as capable of giving conservatives everything they want as Obama was satisfying the progressives. He just doesn't have the votes in congress. I'm not saying he would be a true conservative if he could pass the laws. I'm saying even if he was there's no way congress would pass everything a true conservative wants just as there is no way a true socialist could satisfy the progressives.

I disagree completely on Congress....

Oct 18, 2018, 9:44 AM

assuming you're counting the tax reform as one of "his" successes. I say Congress got that done IN SPITE of the POTUS. His loose mouth and stupid off the cuff remarks about killed it, like healthcare reform, many times.

I give Trump credit for a lot of the reform within the agencies and relaxing impediments on business. But I don't give him much credit for the tax reform and I give him a good bit of the blame on the lack of healthcare reform.

What he seriously lacks is leadership and any kind of political ideology. He can't have any level of substantive debate or influence. All he is good at is stirring up his supporter with silly names and stupid false outrage...which only serves to alienate anyone who might otherwise be persuadable on certain issues.

Flow, you are talking facts vs. Trump supporters. Why?

Facts are an impediment to worship of the dear leader and therefore no bueno.

Yes I agree, a lot of people on this board don't know what socialism actually is.

That all ya got? You think that is the same as Trump worship?

what is was and tried to make the case that somehow Democratic Socialism was much different than "regular" socialism.

I presented some facts from their web site which you seem to ignore...hence the comparison.
