Dabo taught me a lesson

You win with class and you lose with class. I think this is a quote from him, even though I might not have the wording exactly right. Urban lost with class tonight and shook Dabo's hand after the game...much respect to him and all the buckeye fans. They seemed very reasonable online before the game in regards to the competition.

After reading that quote from Dabo, it made an impression on me. Whenever my kids lose in soccer or basketball now, I make a point of congratulating the other kids and their parents.

So proud that he's our coach.

Win or lose next week, I'm grateful that he's our guy. Hope he's at Clemson for a long time...like Beamer at VT and Bowden at FSU.

Go Tigers!

That was part of the ar$e chewing he put on the team last year when at halftime when they started jawing at Miami after Miami talked all the crap right before the game. He kept them on the field during halftime and laid into them about it. That quote was caught by some of the Cameras. It was a moment that showed the class that Dabo has and made me really proud to be a Tiger.

Great post! Dabo is what sports should be about. He teaches the right mental approach to winning and losing. I've coached high school girls basketball for 10 years and it's sad to see how few kids know how to respond to a loss.

Dabo is exactly right when he says you can learn more from losing than winning. That Pittsburgh loss was the best thing that happened to the team this year.

And when he kept them on the field at halftime of the Miami game last year, that was one of the best coaching/teaching moments I have ever seen on TV.
