Dabo needs some perspective

Honestly embarrassed as a Clemson grad about the nonsense Dabo is spouting to the media right now. As a leader, he should be encouraging people to stay home and take this seriously, not acting like we can just wish this away with a positive attitude and ignore all the doctors.

Would you say we have a plethora of Stuppyheads?

Or could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on the StupHead?

How dare he have a positive attitude and think we could get past this and have football in 5 months. Have any doctors said we won’t have a football season?

I wonder if Herbie would let his twins participate in football once things settle down or if he would keep them at home having put his opinion out there.

He basically said he's preparing for the best and others (AD/Prez) can prepare for the worst. The only really over the top thing I thought he said was about the stands being full of fans. If we have football I doubt we have fans in the stands. Maybe students only.

Sounds like you need some perspective.

The fact that you're spouting off on Tigernet about what he said says a lot more about what kind of person you are than it does him.
It might be time to take a look in the mirror.

Do y'all remember 911? The whole nation was in mourning after the attack on our country and for the many people who lost their lives from the things that happened that day. Clemson was scheduled to play Duke the following Saturday. College football games weren't played. Noone felt like college football was important. But we came through it as a nation, came back together again, and returned to playing football. A lot of people needed to have things like football to look forward to and to help return to life in the aftermath. If you recall, we rescheduled Duke in DV as the final game of the regular season that year.

Two things:
Apr 3, 2020, 8:39 PM
|

1. I didn’t hear Dabo say any “nonsense.” 2. Even if he did, unofficial TigerNet rules state that nothing negative can be posted about Dabo.
HTH.

1. T.I.G.E.R.S 2. B.Y.O.G. 3. The best is yet to come 4. Never listen to someone you would not solicit advice from
I’m sure there are a plethora of other Dabo quotes that would offer insinuation during these unprecedented times.
John C. Maxwell defines leadership as: “your ability to influence, nothing more, nothing less”.
Dabo is not only a head football coach, but also a leader in the community (and nationally). He offers optimism in a time of overwhelming despair. If we cannot have anything to look forward too, then why bother putting one foot in front of the next one.
We will see if we have a season in 2020. No kidding, it may be one of the “things” that gets the economy going again. Only have to look at SARS in Canada. Freaking Rilling Stones concert brought Vancouver back from the brink.

I, myself, think Dabo's comments were correct for his position as a head football coach. He didn't get into politics or giving medical advice. He talked about what he is paid to talk about...FOOTBALL.
He knows he's not an expert in medicine, virology, epidemiology, or politics so he talked about what he knows and spread some hope. Anyone that finds fault with that is just stirring the poop pot.
I wish more people (movie stars, musicians, newscasters, politicians, some tnetters, etc.) would quit giving their opinions about stuff they are not qualified to talk about. Its bull, but sadly some people lap it up and treat it like gospel.
Glad Dabo sticks to what he knows and keeps our team focused. And I hope he's right about football in the fall.
GO Tigers!

Dabo is a football coach and is keeping a positive attitude. That's how he has made the amazing life he has created. We all know the situation without Dabo's input. Dabo is the man.

Hi Troll!
I fixed your post for you. You are welcome!
Honestly embarrassed as a Clemson grad South Carolina fan about the nonsense Dabo is I am spouting to the media Tigernet right now. As a leader troll, he I like to lie about what Dabo said, even though he said we should be encouraging people to stay home and take this seriously towards the end of the podcast, not , I like acting like fool, we can just and I wish this away with I had a positive attitude and ignore all the doctors like Dabo instead of having major character flaws like I do.

Dabo never mentioned not taking this seriously and not listening to doctors about staying home. You are a troll or didn’t actually read his quotes. He simply is trying to shine some positive light into a time when the vast majority of the world is anxious and down. He said he hopes this is all clear by September and he believes it will be and there will be football to keep positive vibes. He said he is not an expert in the pandemic and to “let the smart people” make the decisions when to open things back up, quite contradictory to your synopsis of his message. As a Clemson grad and doctor treating patients on the frontline and actively encouraging people to stay home right now I see absolutely nothing wrong with his quotes. Some media sites may make a clickbait title to construes his message but if you actually read what he said there is nothing wrong with it.
