in his interview today the "Beanie Bowl". Can someone enlighten me as to what that is?

Basically a scrimmage inside of Death Valley but they go through all of the pregame rituals - running down the hill, etc.

It started out under Ford as a "game" between an equally divided team- the winners got a post-game meal of steak and crab legs and the losers ate pork and beans. Don't know what it is today but probably a watered-down version.

Without knowing, I almost guarantee it’s watered down. I hope steak has not made its way being a participation meal.
