Dabo just turned down Korncoot for an interview

Korncoot is at the North South all star game in myrtle beach. He is doing his radio show there. He just had spurrier Jr on and asked dabo if he would do an interview. Korncoot said dabo respectfully turned him down just like he did the last four years.

Coach Swinney inherited a bad deal with the Korncoot situation from the previous staff. Its apparently obvious to Dabo (as it is to nearly everyone else) exactly where Korncoot's sympathies lie. Korncoot has, on several occasions, done his best and used the statewide airwaves his show enjoys to discredit Clemson, its coaching staff and occasionally interfere with personnel/recruiting issues.
The fact that our coach won't give Korncoot even a whisper of validity by giving him a one-on-one interview at such an event as the North-South Game raises my estimation of Coach Swinney a notch.
At this point, Swinney would create a firestorm if he ever completely cut off Korncoot and his cronies from access to the staff and players as other reporters have available to them, but refusing to give Korncoot's show an exclusive interview with the head coach is at least a step in the right direction. And until Swinney can convince Radakovich and the rest of powers that be in the AD at Clemson to isolate him, avoiding giving Korncoots show even a hint of validity is the best avenue for now.

grad. He is NEVER going to be impartial any more than I would be as a Clemson grad. I make nice with the USuC people I know but I hate the program, the University and the fan that are not my friends. Always have. Always will.
