The NFL has fallen so far down from what it was at one time, I don't think it will ever attain that level of respect again. Too much politics in athletics now.

A sure-fire way to subvert any organization is to get political.
Politics are divisive and the NFL should have recognized that fact...not a difficult concept for some of us to understand. The NFL, not so much.
They won't recover their once sterling-public perception anytime soon.

I am just there to watch the game and while the game goes on it is just football. I usually use the anthem time as a time to grab a brew or take the trash out etc. I never really thought much of that time while I home waiting for the game on tv. Little did I know everyone that is boycotting have been home saluting their TV's all of this time during the anthem and now are in uproar and want the NFL destroyed.

Agree!! Some people need to grow a pair and stop worrying about what other grown men are doing. I love me some football and I'm going to watch it. The NFL still gets higher ratings than anything else on t.v. so I believe they are just fine. If some people want to complains and not watch it that is their loss.
