Prayers needed

My father is in his ninth day in Hospice after going in with a 1-2 day expectancy. He is a Clemson fan and WWII vet and has not quit fighting even though his heart stopped for over 6 minutes once last week and was gone according to the night nurses. It started beating again with no attempts to resuscitate. He has been unresponsive for the entire time since leaving the hospital. This has taken a toll on my mother's health and is hard on the rest of my family in so many ways.

unresponsive for over 10 hrs. We put on her lipstick and earrings and told her it was ok to let go. Tigers and vets hate to quit fighting! she died within 5 minutes-just stopped breathing. other strange thing is my dad's picture fell off the wall as she died. he had gone the previous march.

It's easy in times like this to just say the words
"I know what you're going through" and offer prayers
for you and the family, but in this case I do know what
you're going through, and you absolutely have my prayers
for your father, and for you and your family. I had
a sister in law who had a massive Heart attack Thursday
night, and it took the EMS guys about 8 minutes to
get to the house, and get her heart beating again, and
her breathing started. It stopped again twice on the
way to the hospital. Her vitals all went bad Sunday
afternoon, and my brother and the family were prepared
for the worse case. My brother called me yesterday and
said that he decided to have them remove the ventilator
and heart pump, so she passed yesterday evening in
peace to be with God.
Karla was a huge Clemson fan. Our family all get together
and for Thanksgiving every year, and stick around to
get back together and watch the game every year. With
the mixture of Tigers and Gamecocks in the family, it's
a very fun time of the year for us all. .. Karla made it
fun, and she will be sorely missed.
I pray that your father proves them wrong for a long time
to come, and hangs in there. I pray that your family will
be spared having to deal with what ours just went though,
but know that if that time comes, you have the thoughts
and prayers of many who really do understand the sorrow.
