DJ Uiagalelei and his announcement

For those that missed my post from last night a little further down the board. DJ is not committing today...he is merely announcing his date. He has mentioned May 5 in the past but also mentioned to me at one point that he could do it later in May. Again not gonna commit today unless he was lying to me

Wood that be a white lie? My guess is he’s not going to commit to committing later this week.

If that were so you’d think he’d just commit. Since he committed last night to announcing when his announcement of his commitment would be though, I have to be committed to assuming it may be sometime in the next 3 months.

I see that you are a committed person, who probably should be committed.

If so I prolly won’t announce my commitment***

You won't get to and where is a secret for the committees.

Kind of strange how that works. Be prepared...

If he commits to Oregon today then it was a lie, if he commits to us today then he merely changed his mind.

Or changes his mind. Lying is a pretty strong word David.

I think his original Tweet was poor wording.

Said he would "announce his commitment", rather than, "announcement about his commitment"

I think it would be wise if this thread were edited or deleted. The L word should not be used with a potential recruit. It can be pretty offensive for many people. Just my 2 Cents.

So you just bumped it back to the top?

BTW he didn't say he was lying. People need to chill out.

David - do you still think he is a Clemson commit/lean?

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

Crystal ball predicts that he is uncommitted for an announcement to committing.

So I shouldn’t be waiting by my puter? I’m so confused.

Recruiting drama is way out of hand. Commit or don’t. The way he’s doing this is sort of a red flag...IMO.

a red flag because he told twitter that he would have news about the date of his commitment coming later today?

Seems like a little bit of a stretch there, dontcha think?

Probably is a reach. I’m sure he’s a great kid and would

be awesome here.

The whole “big announcement to announce when I’m going to announce” is unbecoming though.

I agree

Things got a little weird after the Oregon visit. That being said I still think he's a good guy and would love to have him here. It's got to be weird to be a teen and have two schools and thousands of people hanging on your every word and move.

"Bad sign" he's gonna set an announcement day? He never said May 5th to begin with so yes this is NORMAL for a recruit to do this. Don't be such a grump and let the kid choose whatever he wishes about telling us his commitment/date.

Was it a bad sign when Bryan Bresee gave a commitment date? What about Myles Murphy? Don't pay it any attention if you're gonna whine because luckily you're not paid to have an an opinion on this with comments like him giving a commitment date being a red flag....

Who said it was a bad sign? I do think making a big deal

about his “big announcement “ about when he’ll make his real announcement reeks of Prima Donna...hence the potential red flag.

He can do whatever he wants but I think the whole recruiting drama is out of hand.

Serious question: Your boss tell you to use the word “lying”

Like he told you to rehash the same BS questions about Feaster right before the national championship?

I just hope he commits to commit to Clemson on May 5th.
