I think problem last time was they didn't want to take a red-eye because he would be exhausted for the next game the following weekend.
Since there is a week's break before his next game--if season ends tonight i have no idea what his coach was talking about--coach says he is young, he can handle sleeping in a plane overnight and flying 14 hours in one weekend.
Maybe there is some kind of super championship in CA HS football? Other than their politics that state has got it going on.

They missed the flight. The plane door had closed.
We had a noon game and the next flight would have gotten to ATL too late to make the game.

I read where he has another game in 2 weeks projected to be against their big rivals.
Read where tonight's game is called a championship but it's not for all the marbles, so it must be like SC's Upstate/Lower State Championships.
I dunno.

Or my crack about CA politics? Or my compliment to the rest of CA?
I have plenty of reason. My wife's folks lived there for over 50 years in spite of how the government tried to ruin the state. I used to love visiting them--and then leaving. Their people are awesome. Their dairy farmers out-cheese WIS. Their peach farmers out-peach SC and GA combined. Their orange farmers out-orange FL. Their cotton farmers out-cotton all of Dixie. Their economy exceeds any other 5 states and would rank in the top 10 countries internationally if they seceded or were kicked out.
But after 50 years her folks couldn't afford to retire there. So much $ going to needy persons who can't document how they got there that it's too expensive for retirees who spent 50 years paying into the system.
There. If I'm gonna get TD'd, at least i got to rant a little.

DJ looked pretty rough with a bad INT staring down a wide receiver and triple-clutching on third down on one of the final possessions of the game. Hopefully he has a better day the rest of Saturday.
