Crying Young Alabama fans

Jan 10, 2019, 12:34 PM

An Alabama dad sat in front of us at the game (IPTAY section) with his 2 sons that I would guess to be about 7 and 9. During the 3rd quarter one of the boys started to cry because they were losing. By early fourth quarter the other also started crying. The three of them soon left.

I have seen younger disappointed Clemson kids before but was surprised to see kids that age cry over a football game.

Well to be fair it is the first time since well before they were born that Alabama has been beat that soundly.

They should handle next year's defeat in NO much better.

Do you expect Bama to be back?
I'm wondering if we might not see another SEC Team.
I mean Kentucky looked pretty good this season.

I agree. It's very important to acclimate them to the truth at an early age. This way, they'll be psychologically prepared the next time the Tigers stomp the Tide.

They probably knew dad was going to be angry.***

My 9 year old son was crying in Tampa when we were down 14-0

He LOVES his Tigers. Sadly I think we lose some of that as we grow up.

I'm glad he cared; my 2 daughters were also at the game and could not have cared less lol

Kids are kids, they do things and you just have to teach through them. They will cry for just about anything.

My 3yo was nearly in tears because the Tiger was absent during the Lipscomb basketball game. He always high-fives the tiger (and or cub). We were leaving just as the buses were returning from Dallas. Still, we are on the "orange" youth basketball team and he goes around high-fiving everyone as he is a future mascot.

Not surprised. I've seen it more than a few times at that

age. That age is worse than younger kids, cause they know more about how big it is.

Of course I saw a grown man the size of steer bawling when Tommy Bowden dumbed us out of Championship game years ago.

Glad I don't have to worry about seeing that again for hopefully a LONG time.

Here's video of the dad crying while his adorable, smart daughter lets 'Bama have it
