You have a regular crowd on P&R who discuss the actual P&R topics that they’re supposed to be discussing, in the place they’re supposed to be discussing them.
On the main board you generally have people who have no intention of ever posting on anything but the football forum, and don’t really care if there’s another board—-they’re still just going to post whatever they want on the football forum, politics or not. If there are crossover posters between the two forums (and I’m one of them), they’re already posting where they should be.
It makes no sense to take a 30+ reply mega-thread that someone started on the football forum, and simply dump it into the P&R forum as if it were now correctly situated. These threads are a massive annoyance and only serve to take up space....I think someone once noted that it’s the equivalent of a stranger walking into an existing conversation and just shouting. No one interacts with these threads, and the original posters don’t follow them into P&R to continue the conversation— they simply get eventually pushed to the background, and with all due respect, it just looks like lazy moderation.
Why couldn’t you take these misplaced threads and just delete them? It’s effectively what’s happening to them anyway when you move them here, they but if you delete them they just aren’t inconveniencing the 40-50 P&R regulars who are already following the rules.

How about NOT letting a55-clowns who literally joined the site 15 minutes earlier to START NEW THREADS. Many, MANY boards will not allow a noob start a thread until they've been around for 30 or 60 days.
