Crazy Scenario: Clemson loses a heartbreaker to ND by 1 pt.

UNC wins out. (They don't play Clemson, but they do play ND)
ND wins every game except for the UNC game.

Tie breaker is the common record among those 3 tied teams:

1. UNC 1-0
2. ND 1-1
3. Clemson 0-1

We would miss the ACC Champ game, but I think we would still likely be selected for the playoff due to our brand.

This is a semi-realistic nightmare scenario.

Agree. We are in a great spot. Sure, we can lose, but if we play well, we will beat ND and anyone we play in the ACC. That was not always the case. In the past, we had to play well and have FSU play poorly and have some good bounces and have Ron Cherry elsewhere to win. Clemson can only beat Clemson in the ACC. I feel more confident than ever following a less than sharp win against Syracuse. If we get healthy we will be in the CFP.
