Yeah not like they lose anyone good huh? Clowney, Shaw, Quarrels, Hampton. Just 4 of their 5 best players

Both fan bases have been saying that about the other school; I expect us both to be good again.

Unfotunately, they will not have the luxury of teams having to double and triple team the left side as they had to do with Clowney on that side. They also lose Sutton on the other side. Three of four on D-line and two corners are gone (Hampton, Legree). Their D will be a shell of what it is now.

Clowney sucks, right? Thompson is a proven replacement for Shaw. Quarlea and Hampton are aolid but we have depth there. Yo
Clemson loses a record setting QB, All-American WR, starting RB, leading sack specialist, and amazing kicker. Im sure yall have depth too but you lose more key guys as a whole.

best QB in school history. Clemson loses arguably best QB in school history, top ten pick in Watkins, good LT in Thomas, and replacable starters in LB's Christian and Shuey, CB Robinson, OG Shatley. Beasley leaving is not a given at this point, but if he does, Shaq Lawson steps in and we don't miss a beat. Pretty even if you ask me. And you are not replacing those 3 starters on the DL, 2 of which could be 1st round picks and Sutton who will get drafted with players anywhere close to their pedigree

Been saying it for a while now, Kelly will never see the field as a start unless there is an injury to Stoudt or Watson.
It always sucks to see a player of his caliber relegated to a backup but I don't think there is a doubt in anyone's mind that Watson is the future of the program, not Kelly.

Clemson will be better at RB next year than this. WR will be just fine with good bit of talent. Think Chad Kelly and Watson are more of a fit for this offense. Vic Beasley hasn't said he is leaving, but Lawson is a stud and will be great replacement if he does go.

I didn't realize that you guys were playing UGA again next year. That's good. It was always a great rivalry, it's good to see that it isn't a total casualty of the new conference alignments.

If the coots lost Mike Davis would they be worried

No because the have proven depth there. WR,QB,DE are areas of proven depth for Clemson. Not so sure about SCAR

where they will really feel the hit is on the DL, where other than Philip Dukes the guys they have moving up are no where near the pedigree of Clowney, Quarles and Sutton. Losing both corners as well. No proven pass rush plus new corners equals a big question marks on defense

Clowney is huge . Thompson played a few games this year and the offense was not the same. Whoever backs up Thompson will be inserted sooner rather than later. I think Clemson will use Stoudt and Kelly at QB.

Shaw and the DL will be the toughest to replace. Not so worried about quarles because kelsy griffin is the real deal. Our ends take a step back. English could be good. Has beasly type explosiveness but looks like a tall safety. Needs to hit the weights hard. Dixon seems to have a nose for the ball but has some physical limitations. Our freshmen linebackers should be better in year two so that will help.
On offense, the line will be above average, still have 3 te who can play, and all the receivers are back. QB will be the question. I am dure its dylans job to lose but won't be surprised if nosovitch or mitch make a run for the job. Nosovitch is another true dual threat. Mike davis, even though yall shut him down, is very good and will get the ball a lot. May take a step back a little but it won't be much unlesswe cant get a qb going.

Spurrier-"We have an excellent coaching staff here, and it's pretty neat to go 10-2 with this team that was one time called the youngest team in America," Spurrier said after Saturday night's 31-17 victory over Clemson in the Palmetto Bowl. "They've really achieved and I'm really proud of this team. I was thinking back to all the teams I've had, these guys may have achieved the most for (being) such a young bunch of guys that haven't played all that much and don't have that much experience. They've really played well this year. Give them credit."
Except for quarterback Connor Shaw and offensive guard Ronald Patrick, USC returns every player on the offensive side of the ball in 2014. The top four running backs (Mike Davis, Brandon Wilds, Shon Carson, David Williams) return, as well as every single wide receiver - most prominently Bruce Ellington, Damiere Byrd, Shaq Roland, Pharoh Cooper and Nick Jones - and tight ends Busta Anderson and Jerell Adams.

You can spin it like this...SC is losing their best offensive player on what is an already a very average offense ( 36th in the country ).
Not to mention they're losing all the best players on their defense...so...yea...

EJ Manuel resurrects FSU as a national power. Winston comes in and has success off of that.
Tajh resurrects Clemson as a national power. Watson comes in and has success off of that.
The players are in place and Watson is that type of QB that can take a program to the next level.
