Coolest Clemson baseball moment of the season after this loss

Jun 6, 2016, 12:34 AM

Players lined up on the third base line. Per NCAA regulations, no alma mater can be played. The players started singing themselves and every fan joined in. May have got a little dust in my eyes...

That same dust hit me and my husband. I got all choked up too. So proud of our Tigers! Great job by all.

seriously? what is the NCAA thinking with a rule like that? as ridiculous as their weather forecasting ability

I know so many people who don't even know their alma mater

while at Clemson, the baseball team serenades the fans with it a Capella.

Just fantastic.

Class Act last night by the team to sing the Alma Mater and also for the people that stayed to the end and cheered the team at the conclusion. Made for a late night but it was an outstanding effort by Clemson

Coach Lee is first rate and did amazing things. Just ran into a buzz saw this weekend with Okie State.

I swear I don't understand the NCAA. Wofford has sung the Alma Mater after every home game for 40 years, now it is a no no.

What I don't understand but am not complaining about is the Service Academies always play the alma mater and the players from both teams usually show respect. Also Notre Dame has the same traditions. Never will understand how or why some things are decided by the NCAA

At Wofford, the college chaplain always took the microphone after every game and sang the Alma Mater. He retired a few years back after 25 years of service to the Church and Wofford.

"Thursday night's home basketball game against The Citadel was a big win for the Terriers, but it also meant an end to an endearing tradition for Wofford Basketball, one that lasted a quarter of a century. After every home game, win or lose, Rev. Talmage Skinner lead the arena in the singing of the Wofford alma mater. Last night was his last curtain call, and to honor what he has meant to Wofford College, Skinner was honored with the Top Dog Award. "\\
