Heres the thing! Their player makes the cover because of one hit.... ours make it because of championships! I will take that formula every time!

Correct Sir! UGA is the most important game in the past ten+ years, as to public perception of our program. CFA huge win got us attention and respect, but a big win opening day delivers consecutive victories over two of the perennial best in the 'mighty' SEC. I also find it so ironic that Tajh (inadvertently, and through no fault of his own) is one of the main reasons (besides "the hit") that Clowney is getting all this ridiculous PR.

Excuse me, but did you not see Tajh sacked 4.5 times? Now which game were you watching? That was all over the national news that night, and the next day. ESPN became Clowney Central with replay after replay of Tajh hitting the turf. The LSU win garnered much national respect after losses to FSU and SC. IMO, the CFA Bowl win was the most important Clemson win in the last several years, from a national perspective.

and looking foolish trying to do it...then for some unknown reason our OC abandoned the run that Clown couldnt stop and put Boyd into very predictable passing situations...

So you're both saying that Morris is such a dufus that he willingingly changes a winning game plan? Doesn't sound to me like a great coach would do that, and he didn't! He abandoned the run because he knew it wasn't working!

I disagree. The run was working, with both Boyd and the backs. After hitting the deep ball to Hopkins, I think he fell in love with the homerun. Or maybe Tajh did, but I do think we got away from the run and letting it setup the play action.

One hit, in a middle tier Bowl game! Why the total mam crush SI??
Granted, he IS an outstanding player, with mad skills, but until he helps his team win a division, conference or championship of any kind.....give it a rest!!
Why not put Tajh Boyd on the cover?? Here are some uncommon traits that he possesses that JC sorely lacks:
1. Unselfish leadership 2. Humility 3. Class 4. A decent GPA 5. Team focus...not "me, me, me" 6. Please refer back to #1
Tajh BOYD for Heisman

I guess Tajh doing the Heisman pose on the sideline of the South Carolina vs. Clemson game was an example of class, leadership, and humility. Oh, and me!me!me! Maybe if he would have stayed focused on the "team", and not himself, the outcome could have been different.

Boyd is a great player. Hard to compare positions but I think Clowney is more an elite DE than Boyd is a QB. Boyd may change that perception ths year. I think he has a chance to be one of the very top QB in the country. I think its almost a given that Clowney will be the best DE.

Agree - he's done pretty well against us and they've obviously handled us for a nice stretch...Don't think we should be leaning on gimmicks to make us feel better about that fact...If we beat them at home this year, then we'll let them have it.

It's posts like these that remind me why I love this board.
Nowhere else on the Internet can I find the truth and the reality that our players are baby kissing, Jesus following, poor helping, straight A getting, All Americans, and other teams' players are mentally handicapped degenerates.
