The short answer is "no." I have faith in our coaches, and assume that TL will take over as starting QB pretty early on. Move KB to running back---his only chance of playing in the NFL.

idle threats of potentially leaving early should have Zero bearing on playing time or redshirting
best guy plays, end of story. and if a guy aint gonna play but a few snaps all yr, redshirt will be better for him and team

Leaving for the NFL in three years is no idle threat. Unless our staff and pretty much every analyst in the country has totally missed their guess, his leaving in three years is almost a certainty.
TL could very well end up our starter. But at the very least he will get a ton of valuable snaps this year.
He will not Red Shirt.

Should Watson have been redshirted? Would he stay 4 years? Guys like Watson & Lawrence are generational players that should get the keys early & yes, you’ll only have him 3 years. That’s a given.

I think Trevor is very focused and driven. With that being said will only stay 3 years. Loaded class schedule academically moves him forward to a degree. Also wonder why Dabo called the second 50 yard bomb a touch? TL is the real deal.... smart, strong and best of all a “Tiger”. ... put him in coach he’s ready to play... today..

Redshirting TL means you think he could possibly be here 5 years. That isn’t happening. He needs to be the starter IMO. However, if not the starter he needs to play some period.
