After analyzing the Raekwon McMillan situation...

Dec 13, 2013, 11:41 PM

Over a few beers I've determined that:

1) Raekwon can choose Clemson, lead us to an ACC Championship, a National Championship, and become an All American and an NFL 1st rounder

OR

2) Go to OSU or Alabama, slip into oblivion by becoming one of their 30+ recruits and never be heard from again

The choice is yours Raekwon...

My suspicion is McMillan is a Buckeye---or soon will be.
Urban has had the inside track for a real long time.
Dabo needs to establish the last visit with these guys, not early on.

I don't get the idea that the last visit is most important.

Dec 14, 2013, 9:03 AM

If it takes that last visit to swing the top recruits more often than not then maybe the problem is the process and recruiters more than the timing of the visit. Sure, it might help in close situations some of the time. But it seems that whoever is the last to visit, especially near the wire, is often the one who didn't connect before or who is just getting in at the last minute.

You gotta sell the school well early just as much as get in there late in my opinion.

the experts say he's a buckeye no matter what Dabo did,They

don't miss often

Funny, I read "experts" on sites like Rivals and even on

Dec 14, 2013, 9:28 AM

OSU fan sites that think Bama has picked up the lead spot for him. Of course, McMillan is supposedly very tight lipped so they are all gossiping more than analyzing it seems to me. Picking up on tiny morsels of fact and spinning them into some huge scenario that may or may not be true. For example, some "analysts" read meaning into the number of unofficial visits he made to Columbus but don't really base it on anything McMillan said or people at OSU said. A lot of guessing going on.

back away from the cliff PLEASE!! 247 had Noah Greene at 100% gamecocks, and he committed to CLEMSON!!! these kids will go where they want and we will win with the guys who WANT to be TIGERS!!!!

We got 3 linebackers coming in 2014 that i wouldn't trade for RW because they WANT to be Tigers!!

Timing of head coaches last visit hasn't always helped us or

Having it hadn't hurt others.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The Clemson Insider says less than a 50% chance we get him.

Dec 14, 2013, 8:50 AM

And they are trending lower.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't truly understand these percentages that web sites

Dec 14, 2013, 10:34 AM

Put on who's going where. If there are three schools equally involved and each with equal chance to land said recruit wouldn't a good percentage to land this recruit be 33%?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The other day TCI said we were catching up with

Dec 14, 2013, 10:37 AM

Ohio State on another recruit. Then said we had a 60% chance of landing recruit. There is only a 100% chance of landing a recruit. If you trail another school you can't have a 60% chance of landing that recruit.

if you stop at 100% you keep your filthy hands off our rock***

Clemson or OSU in my mind

Dec 14, 2013, 9:30 AM

If I had to guess I would say buckeye.

How can a northern guy from Ohio connect with a south Georgia kid$?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Seems like he connected just fine to small town

Dec 14, 2013, 9:53 AM

guys when he was at Florida.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Stop analyzing...

Dec 14, 2013, 9:47 AM

you're not good at it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You may want to go back and have another

Dec 14, 2013, 10:26 AM

Your analogy is contradicting. If he is good enough to lead us to a national championship then he is good enough to lead those schools to one as well. You are also insulting the talent already at and coming to Clemson.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree with shaking the southland

Dec 14, 2013, 10:30 AM

Their site reported that there is a reason mcmillian picked December 16th instead of all star games or what not. The kid probably has his mind made up a week or so ago. I think alot of the experts are throwing guesses around and mcmillian coaches are throwing smoke screens up to keep ppl off balance. If distance is a factor for real then it seems like this is a bama or clemson battle. I don't know who he picks but clemson is in the mix

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson vs. Bama for McMillan means the difference

Dec 14, 2013, 10:38 AM

between being a sure starter and a possible RS or backup. Many write about how mature he is for his age, so I think he will be could be more analytical than emotional (bling type decision) if that is true.

Clemson means he can be an out of the gate conference star and still get national visibility. Bama dilutes him a bit.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think this kid will play where ever he goes.***
