The worth of a football program is useless

Jan 9, 2019, 3:28 PM

Worth means you can sell it for something. Football programs can not be sold. Accountants may come up with a worth for tax purposes, but still it is meaningless.

I agree with this.

Same thing as deciding what color the number 3 is.

The answer is Green

Yea - I read about that this morning. Serious question: how in the F are the cucks ranked where they are? They're ranked above a whole host of programs far superior than they are. I guess it's that girl's basketball money bleeding over into the football program? Or from the checks they receive because of Bama and their SEC conference affiliation?

My guess: SEC Network and larger fan base***

A lot of it has to do with population bases.

You'll notice the top 20 is Big 10 and SEC dominant mostly due to the current network contracts.

We are #1 ACC team. Yea!?

More students = more alumni. Urban area = larger fan base

SECN = TV $$$$$.

Makes sense. Money can't buy awesome though.

From a press conference article I found online with Ray Tanner a few years back:
In FY 2016-17, USC expects to receive at least $36.67 million from the conference office.

We got 30mil from the ACC last year as conference champs, Syracuse to compare to Scar got 25mil. I think Alabama got around 41 in comparison?

Also as others mentioned we are a small school in a rural area, which I wouldn't change for the world!

SCar is worthless to me.

Couldn't pay me to take the gamecocks. Of course Clemson already owns them chickens.
