Clemson lost a legend last night.

Dr. Bruce Cook, long time director of bands at Clemson passed away. He was a great man and very much responsible for much of Clemson's game day experience and tradition.

He will be missed by many and his influence was great.

You are correct on so many counts. He had as much to do with the game experience we enjoy now as anyone. We have lost another Clemson Giant.

His music class was one of my first semester classes in 1967. He made going to class interesting to say the least. This southern gentleman was a huge asset for our beloved university.
