Could the reason why XT didn't mention he was working to recruit KJ Henry to Clemson be because he is already a silent commit? ??

Yes, but remember XT took visits to usuc to clarify he was definitely going to be a tiger. KJ could be doing the same

As far as what the recruit gets outside of that? Maybe waiting for a special date to commit? Not sure.

and would only turn up recruiting effort by other schools. A silent commit keeps the buzz down and gives a kid a chance to live with his choice and see how it feels.
Personally, unless a kid is waiting for a special date or ceremony, I think silents commits are not as solid as the others who put it out there.. but who knows.
