Clemson during the NCAA Tourney

Ho-Hum. I sat around this weekend watching the top half of the college basketball world play in the NCAA Tournament without a team to pull for...again:(

That's the only reason I fill out a bracket each year. It gives me a team to pull for in each game. This way there is a little investment in who wins and I get to enjoy more basketball.

Generally, I cannot bear to watch so I do not except for little snippets here and there. I have not watched or listened to an entire NCAA tourney game other than the finals in years. Just cannot deal with it. Like going to the prom and not being able to dance. Stinks and should not be that way with our success in other sports including MORE than football, with NCs in golf and soccer. No real reason we should not be able to compete in basketball. It is the curse of turning down the NIT invite way back in 1939 because it would interfere with spring football practice.

Could be. Certainly Coach Howard's general intolerance for basketball set the tone gong forward. I'm not buying into the facilities (or lack of) argument. In Clemson we have a major overall product that sells. While lacking behind other major programs via their investments (and their brand) for ACC basketball, other Clemson coaches have had a certain degree of success while here (i.e., Foster, Ellis, Barnes and Purnell). While I don't expect an every year Clemson appearance in the NCAA's, I don't expect an every year non-appearance either.

If you haven't heard, they're above average..

Sure lumps will come, but this team can be very, very dangerous if pitching can hold serve the distance.
